Least effective protest ever

"A New York man died Sunday while participating in a ride with 550 other motorcyclists to protest the state's mandatory helmet law," reports ABC.  "Police said Philip A. Contos, 55, hit his brakes and his motorcycle fishtailed. Contos was sent over the handlebars of his 1983 Harley Davidson and hit his head on the pavement."

And that's why you don't teach lessons.

A poignant story on American Jesus' birthday, as it brings up the very questions the day represents, questions of freedom versus enslavement by the King of England, who we all know, if he's anything like the IRS,  has been plotting this whole time to get his non-turkey-leg-fisted hands on all those back taxes that have been accumulating this whole time. Plus penalties.

"Forced to wear a helmet?" you might be asking yourself if you're of the libertarian stripe. "What is this, Nazi Japan?"

"Good point, but helmets, like seat belts, save lives," another imaginary straw man might say.

"Perhaps, but freedom means being able to choose how we die. Not on our knees, like craven lickspittles, but hurtling through the air in a hail of metal shards and razor-like showers of glass, our bodies exploding as wet meat sacks in a crush of splintered bone."

Not sure where I stand on this issue personally, but I'm just gonna go have a cigarette and a fourth plate of pork meat and think about it for a while. brb

OK, I'm here. *pants, dabs forehead with a cold steak.*

Here's a good way to find out if you should or shouldn't wear a helmet when you ride. Ask yourself this: "Am I cooler than Jack Nicholson in 'Easy Rider'?" If the answer is yes, then by all means go ahead and skip wearing the fake helmet on your invisible motorcycle because you don't exist.

Not awesome he died god bless'm, just you covering this. One of the main reasons I want to procreate with my significant other is that every time he sees people riding motorcycles w/o helmets he says "What a fucking idiot."
