Summertime, Freezepop, Coachella for tweens, Adele is a miracle worker, scary new movie + reality TV is stupid!

I got nothing original for you guys today, so here's links to my stuff on Bullett this week which you should consider checking out all the time anyway!

New version of "Summertime"!
There are a few ways you can tell when summer really begins. It’s the day you get in one of the biggest fights of the year with your s.o. while trying to cram the goddamn air conditioner into the goddamn window; people start complaining about the heat on Twitter; and you hear “Summertime” by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince bumping out of someone’s car as you walk down the street. All three things happened at once for me today, except the latter came in the form of a new version of “Summertime,” from My Name is Moses. ... more

Super #1 fun time video!
There are two competing forces at work inside our minds. There’s the nice guy, and the big douche. Freud said that. That super technical psychology model is further exacerbated when you’re in a band and you have to reconcile your stage persona with your normal, boring-person everyday life. That’s the dichotomy at work in two new videos from electro-pop band Freezepop, who have just released the Doppelganger EP, the follow-up to their superbly charming and danceable record Imaginary Friends ....more
 Weird kids festival WTF?!

There’s more though. “The Camplified 2012 Tour is the gateway to a new dimension that will rewrite the traditional boundaries in which Camplified has already rocked a generation of campers in its first decade.”  Wait, what? Gateway to a new dimension? This thing just got a whole lot weirder, fast....more
 Reality TV is stupid!

There are a few things that the American viewing public just can’t get enough of: fawning treacle about the nobility of the armed forces, watching vaguely familiar-looking “celebrities” running from one point to another, and the Palins. NBC’s forthcoming reality show Stars Earn Stripes has all three, which puts its projected ratings numbers at roughly 150 million people per episode....more

This movie looks legit scary.

A new trailer for the forthcoming horror anthology V/H/S has surfaced this week, and from the looks of it, it’s the scariest story revolving around old VHS tapes since The Ring, and that time I accidentally uncovered my parents secret stash of vacation videos. It’s about a group of ne’er-do-wells hired to steal a tape from an old man’s house....more
Adele is a miracle worker!

We’ve already seen many of the myriad powers of otherworldly songstress Adele in action over the past couple years. She’s got the ability to reduce both men and women to tears, send chills up and down our spines, and she can curse like a sailor and chew gum at the same time. “Big deal,” you might be saying. “Call me when she brings someone back to life.”

Ok dude, what’s your number, because there’s something I want to tell you....more

That VHS film does look pretty scary. I like the way there's obviously gonna be some gore in it, not short changing us with that Blair Witch psychological bullshit (if I wanted to use my imagination I wouldn't be watching a film).

"Summertime" cover is pointless. Enough hilarious hipster covers - why not write your own song about summer? The bass knocks nicely though.

That cover didn't really add much.
