Lingering summer snow pile is a metaphor

Ken McGagh/for Daily News and Wicked Local

Too busy, can't talk to you guys right now. Call me later I guess. Meanwhile, check out this snow pile in Framingham, MA that's still lingering well into June, even though it's in the 90s this week. Speaking of lingering snow piles, this whole thing sounds like me at an after hours at your mom's place when there's still some coke left.

An unlikely story of survival is playing out in a parking lot behind the AMC Movie Theatre in Framingham.

Shrunken from its monstrous size this winter,a slushy, mucky mess of snow dumped there is roughly 16 feet long, 3 feet tall and 8 feet wide.

The pile is melting, of course, but it's taking its time even in the extreme heat of recent weeks.
The question remains: Given the rising temperatures, just how has this last remnant of winter managed to survive?
You can imagine where it goes from there. More pics and info at Metrowest Daily News.
